BotanicaLITE® was formulated using a targeted extract from the leaves of the carob tree, Ceratonia siliqua. Skin hyperpigmentation (excessive production of melanin pigments) is a concern for people of all ethnicities. A key method to promote even tone skin is to inhibit the Tyrosinase enzyme. BotanicaLITE® inhibits the production of melanin by reducing the Tyrosinase activity.

This natural Tyrosinase inhibitor is ideal as an active ingredient in skincare products, evening skin tone and reducing age and sunspots.

APPLICATIONS

BotanicaLITE® is safe for use in cosmetics. It is plant derived and a non-irritant. The recommended concentration is between 3% and 5%. Studies have been conducted in South Africa to prove the efficacy of BotanicaLITE® in cosmetic formulations. Results showed that 3% of BotanicaLITE® can be used to improve even skin tone in just 28 days and in only 14 days when used in conjunction with Niacinamide.
