ACTION

Scientific analysis of BotanicaTIMOLA® Nat has shown that the product leads to an increased water and particularly glycerol content in human skin. Public studies show that reduced water/glycerol content leads to decreased hydration and elasticity. This is found in aged skin. BotanicaTIMOLA® Nat therefore reduces signs of ageing and increases skin hydration and elasticity.

Very interesting is the influence on Aquaporin-3 (AQP-3) expression. AQP-3 is a small membrane protein found in human skin and facilitates the water and glycerol transport in the basal layer of the epidermis. Enhanced AQP-3 expression leads to an increased water and particularly glycerol content in human skin. Public studies show that reduced water/glycerol content leads to decreased hydration and elasticity. This is found, for example, in aged skin.
